Now, in what is our 11th Christmas season you think we would know what to expect when it comes to the month of December, and yet every year it comes around and we are surprised by how tired we are after just the first few days of the festive season!
For us the parties kicked off on the 1st, when we joined Bournemouth & Poole collage in Bournemouth, with all the teachers and those behind the scenes getting to let their hair down with one of our fab Selfie Pods.
Left as an 'un-manned' hire, the pod captured an absolutely huge amount of images and GIF's, most of which simply cant make their way to the public domain! Ok, not that bad, but lets just say 'fun packed'.
The following day we shipped off 2 of our pods.
The first was to join the team from Brittany Ferries for the second year running. Held at Bournemouths Mirimar hotel, they also enjoyed the Rustic Gamer for the duration of their hire with us.
The second event was a trip across to Barton on Sea golf club to the join the hard working team that do so much good for Oakhaven Hospice.
A bit of a last minute booking for us ( we had just 2 hours notice after another company let them down). The mass of images at the end of the event told us it was a huge success.
We also joined Bath University students on home soil as 3rd year students celebrated the festive season.
It confirms that our Selfie Pods really are catching on and are a super popular alternative to a full blown Photo Booth.
Just a week later we headed for the big lights of London, a place we have been to on many occasions this year for one event or another.
The first of three back to back events with our powerful 360 Photo Booth experience was in a beautiful old church that doubled up as an events space. And whilst cold, it was a cracking night, with the team from FAIRE getting stuck in to a lovely meal, a great DJ and of course the 360.
We packed up just shy of midnight and headed off, just slightly out of London to a hotel for the night, because the next day we were back in to the big lights and our first visit to the building often called the 'Giant Cheese Grater'.
Now we won't lie, this place was a nightmare in terms of the security and access, and parking? Not a hope in you know where. However, we are pros at this and just got our heads down to solve the problems, and once we overcame those we got to take a trip to the 42 floor of this incredible building. And honestly the views from up so high really were impressive.
The 360 was set up with some impressive glass around us and a sprinkling of Christmas trees as we got ready to enjoy the crowd from Argyle.
The event was non-stop, with a crowd of 160 fun hungry guests. And with a splash of festive props the videos produced looked fantastic.
After packing up and waiting on a lift to take us down the 42 floors, we jumped in the bat mobile and headed towards Birmingham for our final stop.
Its never easy driving late at night, but between us we get the job done, and once we got to another fine Premier Inn, we had a darn good snooze before finishing off the journey the next day.
Our final stop was the Hilton Hotel at the NEC.
The largest of our Christmas events, we branded the 360 and prepped it for a huge night of 500+ guests.
Actually, we did an hour in the afternoon, during the drinks reception, and then kicked back in to action after the awards dinner had taken place.
The Mission 50 branding did look great, as you can see in the image below.
And so just pasted 11pm, we packed down the 360 again and hit the road and we congratulated ourselves on a job (or 3) well done.
There are many things that help make us professional, from the equipment we use, to the spares we carry, to the service you receive. Its why companies and brands come back and use us, or choose us above the other options on the market.
We've got a couple more events to see out the year, including our sixth year with DHL, and then we will switch off for a much needed rest and time with our families and friends.
Much Love
The Box Team
